uPVC Doors – The Smart Choice for Irish Home Security and Energy Efficiency
uPVC doors have been the most widely installed door type in Ireland for many years, earning their popularity through a combination of excellent security, good thermal performance, minimal maintenance requirements, and competitive pricing. From traditional panel designs to more contemporary flat-panel styles, our extensive uPVC door range offers something for every taste and every type of property. Northern Storm supplies and installs uPVC doors throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, delivering professional results backed by a comprehensive warranty.
Modern uPVC door frames incorporate steel reinforcement in the main frame sections and door slab, providing the rigidity and strength necessary to resist forced entry attempts. Multi-point locking systems are standard, engaging the door frame at three or more points simultaneously when the key is turned, creating a secure, draught-proof seal that single-point locks simply cannot achieve. Anti-snap and anti-drill cylinder locks are available as upgrades for maximum security.
The thermal performance of uPVC doors has improved considerably with advances in profile design and glazing technology. Multi-chamber uPVC profiles, combined with high-density foam-filled door slabs and energy-efficient sealed glazing units, enable our doors to achieve U-values that comply fully with current Irish building regulations. Energy-efficient seals around the entire perimeter of the door leaf prevent draughts and significantly reduce heat loss compared to older timber or aluminium doors.
One of the most valued attributes of uPVC doors is their freedom from maintenance. The frames and door slabs require no painting, varnishing, or treating, and can be kept in excellent condition simply by wiping them down with a mild detergent solution. The colour is integral to the material and will not fade, peel, or chalk. Hardware should be lubricated annually as part of routine maintenance, but otherwise the door will perform reliably for many years with minimal attention.
Styles and Configurations Available
Our uPVC door range includes standard single front and back doors, double French door configurations, stable doors, and stable combination designs with glazed upper and solid lower panels. A wide choice of panel designs, glass options (including lead effects, frosted, and decorative patterns), and colour options means you can personalise your uPVC door to complement your home’s appearance effectively.
